Even though they are often criticized for being a rather distracting element for users, fixed navigation bars make it easier to browse complex data and enhance the natural workflow. They can come in handy for GUI designs that include dynamic elements, as they ensure the users do not get lost and know where they are all the time.

TDBAdvGlowNavigator is a Delphi component designed to enable you to customize navigators and buttons. It comes with an extended DBNavigator component with glyphs states, that includes automatic glyph shade generation.

The buttons that can be created via this set of components can include normal, pressed and hot gradient colors along with glyphs used with optional automatic disabled or down glyph generation. To put is simply, they can be used to highlight a certain function within a wizard or perhaps underline the option the users opt for.

Available in an Office style, the buttons can have large, small or custom sizes and have a horizontal or vertical orientation, depending on the interface. As far as their usability is concerned, they can be used for a wide variety of functions, including the less used ones, such as get or set bookmark and extra search, for instance.
