TWebData

When developing software, you can just build everything yourself from the ground up, but it also possible to take advantage of components that enable you to add new features to your applications by just integrating them into your project.

One component you can try is TWebData, which is designed to automatically download and extract data from various locations on the web. It is available for multiple versions of Delphi and C++Builder.

TWebData relies on the Wininet API to load HTML files and then searches them for information. You can, for instance, let the component scan a number of pages automatically and display the data you are interested in from each page.

It can have multiple uses, such as automating the process of downloading stock quotes, weather forecasts, website update dates and so on. The extracted information can be managed in your Delphi and C++Builder application.

TWebData is available for multiple editions of both Delphi and C++Builder, and you can find the version of the component you need to use in a separate archive, based on the IDE it is designed for.

The downloadable package also includes documentation in the form of a quick start guide that can help developers with integrating the component into their software.
