PHPFlexer

In the eventuality that you want to automate a fairly simple task that you perform regularly, then the simplest way to achieve this is to write a PHP script. While running it from the Command Line or Power Shell represent one way to run the script, the truth is that creating an EXE version of the file would make things more convenient in the long run.

PHPFlexer is a lightweight piece of software designed to simplify the process of converting your script to an executable file. In fact, all you need to do in order to create the EXE file is run the utility via CLI console and enter the following command: phpflexer compile myprogram.php.

It is worth mentioning that you do not need anything else other than the PHP script and that the files produced via the operation are standalone. Consequentially, you do not need to worry about the DLL files for the scripts.

The direct advantage steaming from creating EXE files is that you no longer require special software solutions installed on your computer to run the scripts. Moreover, it is faster to launch them, considering that all you need is a double click instead of opening the Windows console. Lastly, they can be run by all users, even by those with less technical skills.
