A specialized console application that enables you to run multiple commands at the same time as well as view and manage them individually #Run command #Command manager #Manage command #Command #Console #Parallel
mprocs is a specialized utility designed for anyone who wants to run multiple commands in parallel. The tool can come in handy in projects that require the same commands to be run over and over again and what the app does is allow you to run them all at once. For instance, the console app could work great with testers and compilers where by default you need to run the same set of commands repeatedly.
Before you can get started, first you need to create a file dubbed mprocs.yaml where all the aforementioned commands are entered. The file allows configuration and you can do this globally or locally with the specification that the local ones override the global settings.
Take note that you can view these commands at all times as they are displayed in a list that you can adjust accordingly. To put it simply, you can view and interact with each of the commands as well as work in Vim via this tool.
According to the developer, the tool can also work with remote machines as it can listen to TCP ports for remote commands. To work remotely, you need to specify the server address in the mprocs.yaml configuration file. You can check the homepage of the app for more commands.
