Designed as a collection of development tools, it requires no kind of installation and provides quick access to its features straight from the main window. Since it's wrapped in a portable package, you can keep D-Tools stored in your collection of no-install software and run it on any PC whenever you need to get hold of development tools, without any setup.

As previously mentioned, the key features of the application are presented right in the main window, and they are accompanied by brief descriptions. You can transform text, color and images, use a regular expression tester, editor the Windows Hosts file, and view system-related information.

The text transformation function is responsible with encrypting and decryption text in Base64, MDI, URI or URIComponent format. Results are shown in JSON format and can be archived in ZIP files.

Meanwhile, the color transformation feature gives you the possibility to convert color codes in RGB, HEX or CSS format. You can also set a constant color as well as preview and pick any color from the spectrum to find out its codes.

As far as image transformation goes, you can upload any graphical file in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF or ICO format from the computer, in order to encode it into Base64. The regex tester lets you input regular expressions, then find and replace text. There's even a list of frequently used regular expressions that you can check out, such as website URL, positive float, or email address.

The Windows Hosts file can be edited in the main window of D-Tools, where it's possible to change the IP address mappings in text or table mode. Another area opens up the possibility of pinging any IP address or domain name to check the connection strength between your computer and the remote host.

Lastly, you can view system information, namely your local IP address, host name, OS version and type, along with CPU and memory details. Some parts with text can be copied to the clipboard.

Taking everything into account, D-Tools provides you with a straightforward graphical interface and intuitive development tools to help with your work. We haven't come across any issues throughout our evaluation.
