HtmlApp Studio

HtmlApp Studio will help you produce small, self-contained executable files.

Many useful HtmlApps (executables produced by HtmlApp Studio) display web content in dedicated windows with no browser. Other HtmlApps are small collections of files which are unpacked and executed.

An HtmlApp is a compiled executable produced by HtmlApp Studio. The executable is actually compiled by a proprietary compiler from source code. However, you never need to be concerned with compiler source code. HtmlApps are defined via a point and click interface.

HtmlApps are similar to self-executing files created by some popular compression programs. Often for the same content, an HtmlApp is smaller because its fixed overhead for unpacking is much smaller. Also, HtmlApp Studio offers several aids to get you productive faster (working examples, point and click definition, and support for html user interface).

HtmlApp is a point and click toolkit for wrapping web content files (HTA, HTML, etc. with CSS, VBScript or JavaScript, and other web technologies), batch files (CMD or WSH) , installer file (MSI, EXE, ZIP with optional code signing) and other active content into a single EXE file.

HtmlApp wrapped files can be given unique serial numbers which may be validated with your web site before the wrapped content is ever extracted. Most scripts and text based files are compressed, making tampering more difficult. An HTA (HTML Application) builder is included.

Programs produced by HtmlApp Studio add less than 20 KB to content allow control over icon, title, resizing, etc. offer basic protection from copying your content use html for user interface run directly after download without an installer .

HtmlApp helps in distributing multipage html content or content which requires CSS, JS, or graphics because the entire distribution can be packed in a single executable. This is much more convenient for user than distributing a ZIP file.
