Generate key files used in encryption algorithms to keep content secured by selecting the content to create, as well as the file size. #File generator #Generate file #Create file #Generate #Generator #Create
Encryption algorithms rely a lot on random content so the target secured item is harder to decode. Some specialized methods use specific key files, which contain unreadable content, but act as the actual key to lock and unlock target content you want to secure. As such, KeyFileGen comes with the means to help you easily generate such files.
First of all, you can take the application for a spin as soon as download is done, with no setup involved to take any of your time or effort. This also means you can carry it around on a thumb drive in case it’s required on other computers, and running it doesn’t put a strain on the target PC’s health status because it doesn’t modify registry entries to function.
All features you work with are stored in a rather simple, but intuitive overall window. Most of the space represents the content of the file you generate, while related generator options are neatly found on a sidebar. If you’re not happy with the generated content, even though random, you have the option to clear everything and start from scratch.
Although the large content field is editable, there’s no reason to write anything down, because it’s of no use. Instead, you need to specify the file size in bytes, as well as the characters used to create content. These can either be entirely ASCII, or custom values, which can include lower and uppercase characters, numbers, symbols, and breaks.
Hitting the “generate” button fills up the field accordingly. Don’t rush to copy content, because there’s a function to save. Using it brings up a dialog where you get to choose a location and name. It’s also a good idea to specify the extension of interest, in case the host app requires a particular one.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that KeyFileGen is not really a tool for everyone, since its sole purpose is generating encryption files for particular types of algorithms. There’s some degree of flexibility, letting you specify characters to use, as well as extension to save.
