VeryPDF PaperTools COM/SDK is a components package that can be used by software developers to enhance their applications, enabling them to process scanned image files and correct various issues.

It can be integrated with other programs via a COM object or .NET assembly. COM interfaces are provided for PHP, Ruby, Python, C#, C++, VB, VB.NET, ASP, JavaScript, VBScript and several other languages.

Among the supported operations, we can mention removing horizontal or vertical lines from various types of forms, as well as eliminating black borders from monochrome, greyscale or color images by cropping the pictures or coloring the border area.

It is also possible to determine whether or not a scanned image is skewed and correct this issue.

The Dynamic Thresholding function makes it possible to convert color pictures into monochrome images.

Moreover, VeryPDF PaperTools COM/SDK is capable of detecting and removing the speckles that often result from scanning or faxing images. The unwanted elements are identified by specifying the maximum width and height of particles that are considered noise.
