Scheduler is a small software application developed specifically for helping you activate several automatic actions at certain time, such as shut down or restart your computer, launch a custom program, and display a user-defined text message. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there.

The tool is portable so you do not have to go through some preset steps included in an installation process in order to gain access to the GUI. You may simply open the executable file. You can keep it saved on USB flash drives or other similar devices.

Scheduler reveals a straightforward interface that embeds only a few configuration settings. A help manual is not included in the package. However, you can quickly get an idea about how to tweak the dedicated parameters because they look easy to work with.

The application offers you the possibility to launch a custom tool by simply specifying the target executable file, show a personalized text message (you may type in the text directly in the main window or paste the information from the clipboard), read aloud a user-defined text message, shut down or restart the computer, disable an active Internet connection, as well as close all Windows utilities and show the shutdown dialog.

All of the aforementioned automatic actions can be triggered at certain time. You may also view the current time (expressed in hours, minutes, and seconds) directly in the main window.

Scheduler is not a resource hog so you do not have to worry that it hampers your computer’s performance. You may keep it running in the background. On the downside, it has not been updated for a long time so you may come across all sorts of errors and compatibility issues especially on newer operating systems, like Windows 8 and 10.
