This software allows for the calculation and plotting of the peak frequency and wavelength intensity for radiation from a black body with a given temperature. #Blackbody Spectrum #Kelvin Temperature #Quantum Curve #Blackbody #Spectrum #Curve
Blackbody radiation study is so complex that it managed to determine the occurrence of a dedicated field in itself concerning the aspect. The main element used in analyzing the thermodynamic equilibrium in such systems is plotting of the spectrum variation. Blackbody Spectrum Plotter addresses the study of blackbody peak frequency and wavelength variation and it will constitute the means through which users can define and plot a corresponding spectrum for a particular temperature value.
The application’s single interface provides a single input field for the temperature value, which is offered in Kelvin only. Having inputted a preferred blackbody temperature value, one can calculate peak wavelength or frequency with ease, by using the dedicated controls.
Large numbers are expressed using exponent designation and this is something which novice users need to account for when “crunching their numbers”.
Users can select to plot both a classical or a quantum curve and each will be rendered using a different color on the graph, for easy identification. Again, large values will be rendered using exponent symbols and this could make reading the graph a bit difficult.
One single quarrel which we had with the app is the fact that the plot area cannot be customized and someone could require some parametrization.
This program is a valuable tool for calculating parameters for blackbody study and plotting corresponding curves into both classical or quantum display modes. Although it addresses a quite narrow user segment, the application is straightforward enough to allow calculations even for those who aren’t that well-accustomed to blackbody study.
What's new in Blackbody Spectrum Plotter 2.0:
- Blackbody Spectrum Calculator 2.0 expresses the blackbody radiation
- spectrum as radiated power intensity in Watts per cubic meter vs. wavelength in nanometers.
