Due to the variety of science and research domains, even the most significant of details are important. Some are closely related to daytime, with various related algorithms related to sunrise and sunset. In this regard, Sun comes with neat visual support, and different details fields for studying time zones and other details around the worlds.

Running the application brings up several control windows, one of which is a visual representation of the globe. There are several map types to choose from, with corresponding view details to move, zoom and pan across the map for close analysis. The window can be resized and even maximized for a better view.

Apart from the map, additional windows provide control over sun and places, results, and a calendar. The window responsible for places come with a list of predefined ones over the world. You can write down and add more, with the possibility to manually write down coordinates, as well as the time zone.

You can interact with the map, and a simple selection updates different values in the Results window. Here you can study coordinates on a compass, as well as the exact time of sunrise, sunset, day length, night length, and azimuth. These values can only be copied one by one to export them.

Last but not least the calendar is pretty straightforward. It’s not fitted with components like alarm or notifications, not even highlights for important events. All you can do here is select different dates, specify a year, and navigate through months. Every selection updates values in the Results window accordingly.

All things considered, we can say that Sun comes in handy for advanced study of time zones and different day and night values. Multiple maps can be selected with different view options for more comfort, while a large variety of values can be obtained and copied wherever needed.
