ECadConvert is one of the applications mentioned above that was designed to help you convert CAD-specific files to various formats, to better fit your needs.

This application was designed to reduce issues triggered by file incompatibilities by enabling you to convert your documents to various file types, thus letting you use them with several other programs.

From the moment you launch the application, you can view a bunch of input file formats, meaning that the app can handle multiple extensions that can be used as the source. On the other hand, the output formats list is a bit richer, as it contains a bit more entries.

ECadConvert's interface is not a sophisticated one, as it fashions rather traditional menus, buttons and pane, so visually-wise there's not much to it. However, its simplicity makes it possible for a wide range of computer users to be able to understand and operate its controls without considerable efforts.

The main window consists of several radio buttons that allow you to choose the input and output file formats, a field where you can specify the output directory and a couple of checkboxes where you can enable directory structure and file date preservation.

Among the formats you can convert your documents to, you can find AutoCAD DWG, AutoCAD DXF, DWF, PDF, JPEG, BMP, PNG and TIFF. However, if you select either one of the AutoCAD-specific formats, you can be even more specific, as the app lets you choose from even more file types.

These include AutoCAD DWG 2000-2009, DWG 12, 13 and 14, DXF 2000-2009 and DXF 9, 10, 12 and 14. After you select the desired extension, you can select the files you want to convert by using the application's Explorer-like interface.

All things considered, ECadConvert is a lightweight app that lets you convert CAD-specific documents to various formats. It comes with a simplistic interface and can handle several output formats.
