Write down multiple complex math operations, configure accuracy and number of values to display and save results to file with this powerful calculator #Maths formula #Calculate expression #Result precision #Equation #Formula #Precision
Math has proven time and again that it is a crucial part of everything that surrounds us, let alone engineering and development. Sure, it's amongst the most difficult subjects in school, but only if you don't pay attention. Even if you do, it's difficult, time-consuming, and not accurate to manually solve complex operations for ambitious projects. This is where applications like GMP Calc come in handy, providing the result you're looking for at the press of a button.
Although it comes in an incredibly light package, the application takes you through a quick setup process in order to make some registry modifications. This isn't a bad thing, on the contrary, it does this in order to allow multithreading so that calculus is done almost instantly. Another thing you need to keep an eye out for is whether or not your PC is equipped with .NET Framework, but latest Windows iterations skip you the whole effort.
Running it might not look like much, with a simple interface that's split into two major panels, one that serves as a means of writing down equations, while the other displays results, and lets you adjust a few technical settings.
You can work with up to three constants for which you input values in simple, dedicated fields. Sadly, it needs to be a numerical value, which cuts a bit of practicality that would have been offered by the possibility to define a constant through another expression.
A default expression is already written in the input field, generating the value of PI in the end, followed by a thousand decimals. This is also configurable by specifying the precision for both calculus and printing.
What's more, you can analyze more operations at a time, because the application lets you activate more tabs, just like in modern web browsers. If you happen to have expressions written in a TXT file, you can load it for processing, with the same format supported for export. A decent amount of operations can be performed, and you might want to pay a visit to the documentation file for more insight.
GMP Calc might not be your average calculator, or even close to what Windows got you used to. However, it's a lot more, making clever use of system resources in order to instantly solve even the most complex expressions you can write with supported commands, displaying thorough, lengthy, and accurate values.
