MatEditor

Designed for engineers and researchers, MatEditor provides a one-of-a-kind material editing and management tool that stores detailed information and properties that are often used in experiments and simulations. With support for an extensive collection of unit systems, this application makes it possible to create and maintain an offline material database.

The main window is neatly organized, displaying all the information in a structured manner that is very easy to follow. The list of available materials is stored in the left-side panel, while the library allows you to clearly specify the type of material and select it from the available lists. The MatEditor library provides one-click access to elastic and hyperelastic materials, non-linear, thermal, electromagnetic, core loss and fluid materials.

To view a material’s properties, all you have to do is select it from the list and hit the “Import” button. Double-clicking the material has the same result and the material properties panel is populated with various entries.

Let’s take, for instance, the aluminum alloy. There are various properties shown in the main window of MatEditor, such as density, thermal expansion, isotropic elasticity, compressive strength, specific heat, resistivity, permeability, permittivity and more. The table is also filled with values for each property.

You can also log new values for a property in the right-side panel and you will notice that the chart of property is automatically updated. In other words, you will be able to see a graphical representation of a property’s evolution in your experiment or simulation.

MatEditor helsp you create, edit and generate material data for your analysis, providing support for hyperelastic material curve fitting features. It offers support for multiple unit systems and allows you to store values for multiple properties.
