Create and text out electrical diagrams by linking different objects together on an interactive canvas, and analyzing electrical flow. #Digital circuit simulator #Simulate digital circuit #Digital circuit simulation #Digital circuit #Simulator #Simulate
Nowadays it’s pretty easy to create and even test out your projects in most domains of activity, given your computer is fitted with the right sets of applications. For instance, entire circuit diagrams can be drawn from scratch, and Simulo is the type of app which makes it easy to drag elements into the design and test them out.
Sure enough, the setup process takes little time and effort, but in order for the application to function, it’s recommended to check whether or not your computer is fitted with .NET framework, because it’s a mandatory requirement. It usually comes in the default set of features, and there’s also a download link in the installer.
As far as the visual design goes, the application makes it quite easy to build and test your designs. A side panel is fitted with all elements you can include in your diagram, such as switches, gates, flipflops, ALUs, displays, and miscellaneous objects. The rest of the space is dedicated to the diagram, which is an interactive canvas.
Building the diagram simply requires you to drag elements from the source panel onto the canvas and link them together. However, diagrams are rather simplistic, in the sense that sources don’t really matter, with results even obtained from simply linking a switch to a button. There are no descriptions to attach, or properties to manage.
On the other hand, the application does contain quite the variety of elements to at least help you get an idea of the actual result you’re about to build. There’s no possibility to export images, or print out the design. Projects can be saved, but only under the application’s own format, to which you can create an association.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Simulo comes with good intentions, but isn’t the type of application to rely on for advanced circuit simulations or analysis of electrical flow. Little effort is required to get the hang of things, while the amount of elements make it easy to quickly build a functioning simulation.
