Smartdraft

SmartDraft works inside AutoCAD, Map, Land Desktop + Civil Design and Civil 3D 2006 - 2010. SmartDraft was designed to make AutoCAD, Land Desktop, and/or Civil 3D more productive and easier to use. It is the result of extensive research and development, combined with many years of experience in the civil engineering industry.

If you have Land Desktop and Civil Design, or Civil 3D SmartDraft can read the alignment, feature line, parcel, point, profile, and surface database. New in v8.x is the ability to update label values when the design data changes. SmartDraft was designed to do what the computer does the best, repetition and following directions. It provides you with a comprehensive set of tools to assist in the creation of standardized drawings.

SmartDraft was designed to use AutoCAD’s ability to twist a view. All labeling, annotation and text tools adjust to a twisted view so that text is read correctly. Multiple views can be saved and recalled. This feature helps manage multiple viewports when using Paperspace and Modelspace. SmartDraft has layout tools to assist in subdivision layout and design. Calculate cul-de-sac with tangents, knuckles, and reverse curves. The grading tools can calculate toe of slopes, set polylines at specified elevation. Offset 3d polylines, offset from blocks and xreferences, and offset multiple selected objects on both sides.
