Perform basic math operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing by simply punching in the two numbers of interest. #Math calculation #Math operation #.NET calculator #Mathematics #Calculate #Addition
Some of the first forms of the computer were hardly able to perform simple math operations, but modern, buffed machines are capable of delivering results to super-complex operations at the press of a button. For instance, Calculator is an application which aims to prove this is all possible with little effort.
On the bright side of things, the application doesn’t take you through a setup process to ensure the functionality of all features, so you can see what it’s all about from the moment it reaches your computer. Just make sure that .NET Framework is on your computer before you attempt to run the program.
All it has to offer is found in a pretty simple, yet intuitive window. A couple of fields are at your disposal to specify the target numbers you want to use in the operation, as well as several buttons to select the operator of interest. Result is displayed in a different section with ease.
It’s not really of any importance in which order you fill in the two fields, except for the divide and subtract operators. These can be of nearly any length, but adding a very large number has a chance of returning an error instead of the desired result.
Unfortunately, the list of available operators is rather poor, with only the basic ones at your disposal such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The result can’t be copied to clipboard, and there’s no function to send it there. Input needs to be done entirely from the keyboard, because there are no numerical values to click on.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Calculator is a pretty poor choice when it comes to performing math operations. Input is done in a rather ambiguous manner, while the list of operators at your disposal can only come in handy for regular expression calculus.
What's new in Calculator 1.0.3:
- Instead of getting nasty errors when the code “breaks”, it informs the user that they’ve done something wrong and that they should check to make sure they’ve entered numbers in the boxes, or that they didn't add any stray letters or symbols.
