Moving on to the decryption tool, Bitdefender Decryption Utility for REvil ransomware makes it possible for users to unlock files that were encrypted by the REvil/Sodinokibi ransomware. You can opt to scan the entire system or just a folder where the encrypted files are found.   While the decryptor can prove to be efficient with variants before July, 13, you should know that new variants might affect the accuracy and functionality of the application. That is why it is recommended to back up files on your computer first.

The Bitdefender Decryption Utility for REvil ransomware is the first decryption tool dedicated to this ransomware family. While It might not be so efficient with variants to come, it does allow victims to try and recover their encrypted files.
