PassFab for Zip

If you have files in your PC that you do not wish to ever be seen by anyone else, it is a good thing to compress them all in a Zip archive and put a password on it.

The annoying part about this process is when you actually forget the code. This can happen sometimes, especially to the archives you have not used in a long time.

Basically, you need to input the archive in the application, select the attack mode and click Start. After it finishes the process, it will show you the password in a new window.

As mentioned above, there are several modes in which it functions. The first one is the Brute Force Attack. With this one, it basically tries all possible character combinations until it finds the right one. It is a sure-fire way, but it also takes the longest out of the three to finish.

The second is the Brute Force with Mask Attack mode. For this one, you are able to choose which characters it should use in its attempt to find the right combination. If you are certain you did not use capital letters, for example, you can exclude those from the search.

The final one is the Dictionary Attack. If you have a text file that contains common character combinations that you use frequently, you can download it in the program to finish the process in the fastest way possible.
