ChAES is a lightweight encryptor and decryptor program that provides a simple way to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access.

The application doesn’t require installation or configuration, so you can get started by launching the application and adding the file. You can add multiple files by either clicking directly on the interface or via drag and drop, whichever is more convenient. The instructions on how to use it are clearly stated in the main window.

The interface includes two main options, namely encryption and decryption. Make sure that the function you plan to use is highlighted, as otherwise you will get an error. The default encryption algorithm is XChaCha20, but you can switch to AES256 from the interface. Once you add the file, you are prompted to type or paste the password. Since you will not be able to open it without a passcode, don’t forget to inform the receiver of the data of the password.
