EnkrypTo for Windows 10/8.1

EnkrypTo is a simple app designed for computers running Windows 10, 8 and 8.1, which facilitates a user-friendly interface for sending secret messages to your friends over the Internet by encrypting them. It doesn't come packed with advanced options or configuration settings.

In order to get this tool up and running, it can be seamlessly downloaded from the Microsoft Store and integrated with the Start Screen of Windows 8 and 8.1, along with the Start Menu of Windows 10.

It opens in a large window with a simple design and dark theme that, thanks to built-in Windows features, can be switched to full screen mode.

The text message can be typed or pasted into the first box, after which you can enter a password necessary for decrypting it, an action that can be done by another person running EnkrypTo on their computer, in the second pane.

It's recommended to make the password as complex as possible, by including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Another aspect worth noting is that a text message can be encrypted with the same or different key for as many times as you want. Just make sure you don't lose or forget them.

Moreover, the tool implements features for adding instructions for the user attempting to decrypt the secret message, along with a button for copying the text to the Clipboard and sharing it.

As expected from such a compact utility, it worked smoothly in our tests, without triggering the operating system to hang, crash or prompt errors. It left a small footprint on system resources usage, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM.

Although it doesn't have a resourceful set of options and customization properties, EnkrypTo offers a simple and straightforward solution for encrypting messages before sending them to your friends. It can be seamlessly handled by anyone.
