If you need to send sensitive information via various online channels, then you are rightfully reluctant, as somebody might intercept it. In addition to ensuring that you use a safe and secure channel to transmit that information, you can also consider encrypting the message itself.

MuEncode is a lightweight program that enables you to encode and decode messages, so the information is safe even if it hands up in the wrong hands.

The app comes with a portable edition, so you don’t need to install it. The interface is rather rugged, but user-friendly at the same time. The UI includes three areas, namely the input, output and options. As you probably guessed, you can add the message in the Input area and you will preview the encoding in the decoding area.

It is worth mentioning, that although the app allows you to open a file and encode its content, it doesn’t allow you to export the file. You will need to copy and paste it manually. The options enable you to copy the results when done automatically, but you can also do it manually if convenient.

The encryption lets you choose between 4 standards, namely Morse code, AES, Random Shift and Alternative Random Shift. When using the AES Encryption, the program also provides you with a decryption key that you can share with the recipient.
