Secure Messages

Secure Messages is an easy-to-use and practical encryption tool that can protect text using the AES algorithm.

It's wrapped in a Modern UI with an intuitive layout and options, which can be figured out even by users with no previous experience in AES encoders.

There are two components: to encrypt and decrypt messages. Specially made for systems running Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, Secure Messages can be obtained from the Windows Store. After installation, you can pin it to your Start Screen or Menu to run the encrypting tool like any other Metro app.

The main window has a green background and empty box for typing or pasting messages in either encrypted or decrypted form.

Once you press the buttons to encrypt or decrypt it, the application calculates the output right away and shows it below. You can copy it to the Clipboard with one click.

This action copies the content displayed on the bottom part of the window (the one overlaying the green background). You can either copy the AES-encrypted message or original text.

According to our tests, the encryption program supports even large text. Although it doesn't show the complete code or decrypted message when handling large content, if you copy and paste it into a text editor, you'll see the entire text.

It's possible to take a screenshot and share the image using another installed Modern UI app.

All things considered, Secure Messages may not have a particularly rich set of options or configuration settings, but it delivers a straightforward, efficient solution for encrypting and decrypting text using the AES algorithm. It can be used even by those with no cryptography experience.
