User Time Control

User Time Control is a simple-to-use application that allows you to limit the time spent on the computer for specific users.

This tool can come in handy if you are worried your children are spending too much time playing video games or surfing the online environment without your consent.

The interface of the program is clean and intuitive, thanks to the wizard-like layout. You can set the app to limit time and create settings for each user separately or for all PC users with the same settings.

Otherwise, you can create a list of PC user profiles and limit the time for those who are or are not in that list (with the same settings).

User Time Control allows you to make a weekly schedule to control when a user may use the computer, along with daily and weekly time limits, and a session time length. You can specify the date period when a user is permitted to work with the PC.

Setting up security restrictions for a selected user or group is possible as well. Thus, you can forbid users to change the system time or to install unwanted software, as well as disable 'Task Manager', 'Add/Remove Programs' and the ability to manage user accounts.

You can create a list of files to be hidden from unauthorized users (such as children) and allow users to suspend time restrictions when they temporarily leave the PC (e.g. shut down Windows after his/her time on the computer expires).

But you can also hide the User Time Control icon in the system tray, log the user's activity, create a master password and generate one-time passwords for users who want to extend their time spend on the PC.

The program requires a low amount of system resources, supports multiple languages for the interface and does not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. You can even export settings for further use. User Time Control is certainly worth taking into consideration if you want to reduce users' time on your PC.
