Prevent losing or forgetting your login credentials to online or offline services by having them stored in a powerful, secured database #Master Password #Store password #Protect password #Store #Storer #Protect
Needless to say that you must protect all your online interactions, especially accounts. Most of them ask you to set up a password, but relying on your web browser to punch in credentials automatically at every logon can lead to forget them. Luckily, you can use applications like Master Password to keep them safe.
Before you can see what it’s all about, it’s a good idea to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on your computer, because it’s a mandatory requirement. The first time you launch the application, you’re asked to create a master account, which consists of a username and password.
As far as the visual design goes, the application wants to keep things simple. Functions are mostly accessed through the upper toolbar, or the context menu. The rest of the space represents the list where entries are stored, but they need to be accessed to view all details, because they’re enlisted only by name.
Adding a new entry brings up a configuration panel with several fields to fill in. The name represents the field which helps you identify the account of interest. Username and password need to be provided. Moreover, the application can store the target URL, as well as the program path, in case the account is used with an application.
Choosing to view detail brings up the same creation panel, but with edit fields grayed out. The password field is masked, but visibility is toggled at the press of a button. Changes are saved on exit, and you need to log in every time you run the program.
Bottom line is that it’s pretty frustrating to lose your account credentials or forget them. Master Password is here to solve this task, making for a reliable method of storing your account details, especially since details are protected by a custom account.
