Security is becoming an increasingly important aspect for computer users, a fact that translates into a growth of passwords, security questions and verification codes. Nowadays, more password managers are being released and one such application is Passwords Base.

The utility is easy to install and does not hamper the user in any way during its installation process. However, it requires Microsoft .NET Framework to be installed on the computer in order for it to run properly.

After installing it, users are prompted to create a master-passphrase that enables access to the main menu of the program and can be changed whenever users wish it.

The information kept in the database is limited to a title, a username, the corresponding password and an adjacent web page. Users cannot enter lengthy sensitive data, but the list can be alphabetically ordered by clicking one of the columns.

Passwords Base supports hyperlinks, meaning users can click on the web page and it will be automatically opened using the computer's default web browser. One thing this software does not do, despite being a purchasable application, is to auto-fill login the information.

Users can save their password database as an individual file and export it for later use. All information is secured with several encryption algorithms and it is available only after inserting the matching passphrase.

To conclude, Passwords Base is an easy-to-use password manager application that does its job honorably from start to finish, but it lacks some of the more sophisticated features required to compete on the market.
