InstantDelete

You can easily get rid of any file and folder through several means provided by the Windows default set of features. However, you can still recover them through specialized applications, but there are different third-party programs which want to make sure they stay gone forever, and InstantDelete attempts to also accomplish this.

On the one hand, you need to make sure that your computer is fitted with .NET Framework to ensure functionality, even though it’s usually delivered by default through modern Windows iterations. On the other hand, setup doesn’t last too long, letting you quickly see what the application can do for you.

The name is pretty suggestive, but the way this is done doesn’t really make the process instant. It doesn’t integrate itself in the system context menu, so you need to run the application every time you want to delete an item from your computer.

In fact, the overall practicality of the application is highly questionable, and not only because it takes quite the time to run it, select the item of interest, and then have it removed, but it’s also only capable of removing one file at a time. Folders can’t be targeted, and there’s no way to have a list created of files to delete.

More than that, the application doesn’t come with any particular algorithms to permanently remove your files, being a mere alternative to the regular delete function. You quickly realize that all other method of removing files are not only a lot faster than this one, but also more practical and comfortable, letting you get rid of more items at a time.

All things considered, we can state that InstantDelete is far from achieving its goal of providing a better, more reliable way of removing files from your computer. Only one item can be targeted at a time, and it’s not even possible to select a folder.
