Super File Shredder has a simple architecture, allowing any user to quickly get the hang of how things work. Drag and drop files or folders in the white area. Both files and folders can be dragged in. Alternatively, you can use the Add button to browse the drive for targeted items.

An app of this size rarely has a rich settings menu. All you can do to tweak the app is to create a context menu entry, so you can shred any file easily, without launching the tool all the time; and swap algorithms. There are more than four algorithms for this type of task, but that's all you have available. Besides the Simple One Pass method, the latter three are rather secure. You can go with DOD 5220.22-M, the Gutmann 35 passes, or with the earsing 7 pass.

Each pass represents how many overwrite waves your file was subjected to. With each extra wave, the information is harder to recover. Once you've decided on the algorithm, there's nothing more to do change about the app.

Super File Shredder is a common data wipe tool, so the Super denomination does not land quite well. However, three out of the four shredding methods are solid at their job, so even if the layout looks like an old XP program, you'll still destroy that data very efficiently. If you don't care about looks or customizations but functionality, you'll quickly come to appreciate this app.
