CyoHash

CyoHash is a simple-to-use Windows application that facilitates a convenient method for calculating the hash of any file, by integrating an entry into the Explorer context menu. Apart from that, it puts at users' disposal a standard window for performing the same type of operations.

The setup procedure takes little time to finish and does not require special attention. The shell extension is automatically integrated into the right-click menu, allowing users to find the MD5, SHA1, SHA1 - base32, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512 and CRC32 checksum of any file, regardless of its type.

Launching CyoHash's executable file brings up a small window with a plain and simple structure, where you can point out a file using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop method is not supported. Once you select the preferred type of checksum, you can generate it with the click of a button.

The resulted signature may be copied to the Clipboard with the click of a button. Another important aspect worth mentioning is that you can find out the hash of multiple files at once, by making a multiple selection and using the context menu option.

There were no kind of issues throughout our evaluation, since CyoHash did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and finds out information rapidly while using low CPU and RAM. CyoHash gets the job done.
