As far as the interface is concerned, OmniHide Extractor has a normal window split into two panes with a simple design and layout, where you can view all options put at your disposal before diving into the file decryption procedure.

Image, audio and video files can be opened using the file browser or drag-and-drop feature. The supported filetypes are .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .tif, .tga, .avi, .flv, .mp4, .pdf and .doc.

After indicating the output directory and file name, you can extract the encrypted items and ask the application to show them on task completion. Apart from the fact that you can clear all data with the click of a button, there are no other noteworthy aspects.

The entire program's packed in just one .exe file that you can save to a preferred location on the disk or copy to a removable storage unit, in order to seamlessly launch it on any machine with as little effort as possible.

Just keep in mind that .NET Framework must be installed, since it was developed with the aid of this platform. Other than that, the tool doesn't add new entries to the system registry or create files on the disk without your approval.

It worked smoothly in our tests, without triggering the operating system to hang, crash or prompt error messages. Decryption tasks were carried out fast while the app remained light on system resources consumption.

Although it doesn't have richer options, OmniHide Extractor offers a simple solution for extracting secret information from image, audio and video files encrypted with OmniHide.
