"Custom Scan" as the name implies lets you select the exact targets for scanning

To recover your files, keep an eye on the red 'X' and the red '?'. The 'X' stands for deleted files, so if you need to restore something that was erased, look-out for it. The '?' stands for lost files, there are less in number as there are formatting related.
