It is vital to backup important data in order to avoid losing your files if the worst should happen, but the complexity of backup software often discourages users from securing their information in this manner.

With Antigrafon, however, even novices should not run into any issues. It is a remarkably straightforward piece of software that enables you to create cumulative or mirrored backups with very little effort, although it would benefit from one or two additional features.

Once you launch the app, you will be greeted by a minimalistic user interface that consists of a single small window with a few buttons and a couple of text fields. Here, you only need to define the origin and destination folders before starting a backup.

Of course, it may be a good idea to save your configuration to a profile before moving forward, so that you can easily perform the operation again at a later date.

Sadly, the application does not offer any progress information while a backup is taking place, so you will have no way of knowing how much longer you have to wait.

When backing up your data, you can specify whether files that are no longer present in the original folder should be deleted from the target directory; this function enables you to create a mirrored backup of the source folder.

Unfortunately, though, the program does not offer support for two-way synchronization, and it cannot monitor folders in real-time in order to backup new files as soon as they are added.

It is not possible to have the application ignore subfolders when selecting the source location or set up filters should you wish to skip certain types of files.

In the end, Antigrafon was designed to provide you with a straightforward method of backing up important files, and it has certainly achieved its goal. It lacks a number of useful features, but it is a lightweight tool you can rely on to secure your data.
