There are few things more frustrating than losing important data by accident or due to system crashes or virus infections. Taking precautionary measures is a must but what to do if you did not get the chance to create a backup and the data is gone? Well, at this point, you can turn to dedicated data recovery tools such as MyRecover.

One of the application’s advantages is its ease of use. Within just three simple steps, you can have your data recovered, whether we are talking about NTFS hard drives or USB drives. Please keep in mind that the application does not work at this point on partitions without drive letters, on dynamic volumes or BitLocker encrypted partitions.

Once you start the application, MyRecover displays a list of all the partitions and local drives it detects. You are free to choose the one you want to scan for deleted or lost data. Once you do so, just hit the “Start Scan” button to begin analysis.

MyRecover initiates the deep scan of the selected drive. All the files and data it detects as lost are carefully organized in three different categories, each having its own folder. There are the deleted files, the data in the Recycle Bin and other missing files.

The tree-like view allows you to explore the list of found files without effort. You can browse through the search results to find files that were lost or accidentally deleted. For your convenience, the “Other Missing Files” directory includes subdirectories that store webpages, documents, images, compressed files and other files. The application reveals the name of the file, along with the date it was last modified, its type, its size and its path location.
