NTI Shadow

NTI Shadow is a software application whose purpose is to help you back up your data so you can restore it in case of system crashes or virus infiltrations.

The user interface reveals a clean feature lineup that gives you the possibility to create multiple backup jobs.

NTI Shadow empowers you to choose between two different backup job types, namely One-Way Shadow and Two-Way Shadow.

The first mode copies the selected source files and folders to the target location, and copies any changes made to the source thereafter, while the second one copies the changes made in the destination directory to the source location and vice versa.

There is also support for a merging function which enables you to combine the contents of the source and target folder and monitor both locations for any changes.

NTI Shadow comes packed with several preset backup profiles which can be activated with just one click, namely Multimedia (videos, music, pictures), Office and Productivity (PPT, DOC, XLS, TXT, and PDF files), Internet (Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Internet Explorer and Firefox Favorites), and Others (e.g. Photoshop, Flash, and HTML files). Plus, you can select the partitions where the tool automatically searches for the predefined profiles.

If the preset options don’t cover your backup needs, you can activate the advanced mode and manually select the directories that you want to include in the process. You can make the app reveal the hidden files.

What’s more, you can choose a target location where the information is stored, view details about each partition, such as free and used space, name, capacity, format, and type, and receive warnings when the storage space exceeds a user-defined value.

You can make the utility delete the files from the backup destination when they are removed from the source, move items to the Recycle Bin, and save a custom number of previous file versions.

NTI Shadow offers support for several saving modes which allow you to continuously monitor your source folder for any changes and back them up as they occur, copy the changes at a user-defined time, or schedule the entire process.
