One of the best things about this app is that you don't have to be a professional user to figure out how to use it.

The foundation of this software is a wizard approach that requires you to follow a few steps before you manage to successfully recover a file.

First, you need to input the path to the damaged or corrupted RAR archive, while pressing “Next” instantly starts the recovery process. It doesn't take too much time and the application remains friendly with hardware resources all the time.

Once the aforementioned process comes to an end, RAR Recovery Toolbox displays the detected files, along with a great amount of details, such as compressed and uncompressed size, header offset, file offset, errors hints and CRC32.

You just need to check the items to recover and proceed to the next step.

One of the drawbacks is that RAR Recovery Toolbox doesn't comprise a preview panel which could really come in handy when trying to recover photos for example. On the other hand, it can even work with network archives and encrypted data.

In the end, RAR Recovery Toolbox proves to be quite a handy piece of software, although we've find out during our test that it fails to recover files from severely damaged RAR archives. It doesn't do wonders, but it definitely lends you a hand when trying to deal with corrupted archives.
