Using this application you can create backups of your files and folders, then you can specify the location where the files should be stored. #Data Backup #Encrypt Backup #Remote Backup #Backup #Remote #Schedule
Preserving your files is a precious thing. Stumbling upon a hard-drive failure or some other unexpected occurrence is something not at all pleasant. That is why backup solutions are important to consider — and Safe Data Backup is meant to help with that.
While Safe Data Backup may not seem like much at first, it’s worth noting that it simply does what it sets out to do. Backing up your files can be a rather tedious process, and this is precisely where this app is useful: designate a file or folder (or more) as the source and a target location for storing the backup. Then click “run now.” And that’s that!
Such a use case is quite common for an app like this – and that’s perfectly enough. Where Safe Data Backup becomes something more is when you peek into some of its more targeted backup configuration properties, each able to handily enhance your backup experience.
Upon visiting the Edit menu of a certain backup, the “General” tab serves to grant you an overview of the files and folders you’ve added, along with the destination of those elements. Users get the option to add several filter options along with their backups, which they can use to include or exclude certain extensions to be considered when backing up a specific folder.
The “Schedule” tab is even more intriguing, as it allows users to set specific time intervals during which a recurring backup would be deployed – either daily on a specific day of the week, or every other day.
The “Advanced” tab includes more power-user-friendly features, such as encrypting the backup and requiring a password upon access, and even zipping it into a more compressed file to save space. Remote backups can also be performed, the app having the ability to e-mail the compressed file to a target email address.
In conclusion, Safe Data Backup stays true to its name: it can back up your data, compress it if you will, and even encrypt it if you’re so inclined.
