Working with large volumes of files on a daily bases might also require moving them from one location to the other, task which quickly becomes frustrating. However, various tools help automate the process, and special tools like Sincronizador can create a schedule, this one being dedicated to SyncToy.

On the one hand, Microsoft’s synchronization utility, SyncToy, needs to be installed on your computer. On the other hand, Sincronizador requires no setup, and can be stored, and used directly from a thumb drive.

When launched, the configuration window shows up, so you can choose how tasks are handled, and more importantly when. Needless to say that the path to SyncToy must be provided, but there’s an automated tool to find it for you at the press of a button. During the configuration process, the target program doesn’t really have to run.

In case you’re synchronizing folders across a local network, there’s a dedicated field to check the target PC’s IP address by sending pings at regular intervals you can set. Moreover, all activities are kept track of, and you can choose to have LOG files generated automatically at a specific location on your hard disk drive.

Since it’s a scheduler component, you also get to manage time. This is simply done by specifying days, hours, and minutes, with an option to use these values as countdown. Moreover, you can configure sound alerts to let you know when a task is complete, or the the destination cannot be reached.

Unfortunately, the application can’t be made to run with Windows, unless you manually add the shortcut to the system Startup folder. When a process is in motion, the application can stay minimized to the tray area, and this is especially useful if you enable audio alerts.

To end with, Sincronizador is a useful utility which allows you to create schedules for synchronization tasks configured with SyncToy. Although schedules generally apply to all tasks, the set of features makes it easy to use by everyone, while quietly doing its job from the tray area.
