V-Ray Benchmark

Learning more about your PC’s capabilities, both in terms of hardware and software, can be done in numerous ways. However, few methods manage to test out a PC to its limits and yield comparative results, like benchmarking and stress testing, especially for the CPU and RAM, due to the standardized aspects that such tests involve. V-Ray Benchmark will offer users the ability to test their machines against three rendering engines, in order to find out how their systems fare under the inherent stress loads that are associated with graphical renderings.

Although having a pretty big installer, the application does feature a straightforward deployment process, from initial install to actual first use. There are three main rendering engines available, and users can select whichever they prefer, thanks to the simple selector screen.

However, at least some basic understanding of the differences between the three is required, and users are advised to document themselves further in order to better grasp the different methods and processes entailed by each different engine.

Aside from the actual rendering process, which during our testing went quite smoothly, the application will automatically detect and list all the available CPU units and their configurations, which we believe is a nice touch.

Once the rendering process has been initiated, users will be able to both preview the actual process, as well as its progression status, thanks to the included bar. A logging feature for both scoring and process is also provided, meaning that you’ll be able to keep track more easily.

With its three-engine lineup, V-Ray Benchmark can surely play a crucial role as a tool for assessing your PC’s capabilities through the use of rendering testing.
