When the graphics card of your computer gets overheated, it might throttle its performance to prevent permanent hardware damage. Consequently, you might be experiencing lowered frame rates and image stuttering.
While this behavior might be normal for the GPU in such a scenario, a stuttering screen is surely not normal regularly.
Wagnardsoft Stutter Test is designed to help you test the capabilities of the GPU and check to see if any stuttering issues occur.
The application requires no installation. As soon as you double-click on the main executable, it is up and running.
The tool ensures compatibility with NVIDIA, AMD and Intel GPUs. Keep in mind that its backbone is the Gogot engine and that Vulkan is used to carry out the test. In other words, your video card driver needs to support the required Vulkan version, or you will need to enable the OpenGL 3 driver.
There is nothing else you need to do but start the application to initiate the test. While Wagnardsoft Stutter Test starts in windowed mode, note that you can also switch to exclusive full screen mode. Moreover, you are allowed to toggle Vsync on and off with the push of a button. All the instructions are displayed in the main window.
