In Windows, the WinSAT command, short for Windows System Assessment Tool, can be used for benchmarking different hardware components.
First introduced in Windows Vista and then available in any new Windows edition, the command is used by system administrators to retrieve performance-related information and assess the system’s health.
With WinSAT, it is possible to assess the performance of the system’s memory, disk drives, CPU and video decoding and encoding. The command can retrieve relevant basic information about the host system.
Designed to make things a little bit easier for regular users, WinSatUi delivers a frontend for the WinSAT command, with more or less the same functionality.
Upon launch, basic system information is retrieved in a small popup window, which bundles details about the CPU manufacturer and model, the graphics card and the storage disk the PC is equipped with. The operating system version is also shown in the main window.
t only takes the push of a button to start the test and initiate the system performance assessment. WinSatUi evaluates the performance of key hardware equipment, namely the computer’s processor, its RAM memory, the graphics card, game graphics and the primary storage disk.
With a click, you can upload a screenshot of the application to Imgur and ask for an opinion or compare scores with other computers with a similar configuration.
