Considering that drives have a lifespan and are subjected to all sorts of risk, the importance of creating regular backups of your data cannot be stressed enough. From little errors to the PC not booting at all, DFSee is an advanced collection of tools that can help you better manage your disk and be prepared for the unexpected.
As previously mentioned the app packs several tools that allow a thorough analysis and management of the disks, including disk partitioning, filesystems on disks, clone partition or running various recovery scripts, just to name a few.
You have the possibility to save the important data that you store on certain areas, whole disks or partitions as imagefile, RAW image or as an archive. As you probably hinted, this is the backup that you can use whenever disaster strikes and you need to restore your data.
You have two options in this sense, namely creating a large image that you burn on a DVD and cloning the disk. While the first one comes with the advantage of browsing the files and directories, whereas the latter allows you to make a very fast backup and move partitions around.
In addition to helping you create backups of the critical data, the program also supports recovery of simple files, partitions and even filesystem. The restoration procedure works on most filesystems, including ISO9660, FAT variants, NTFS, EXT2/3/4, JFS, HFS+ and APFS.
At the same time, the program enables you to perform a minute analysis of the used filesystem so that you can detect potential issues early. To put it simply, you can scan the low-level directory structures, superblocks, boot-sectors or the entire disks and fix common problems regularly.
Regardless of the types of applications and files we work it, they have one thing in common and that is they are stored on the local or external drives most of the times. DFSee is a tool that allows you to keep a close eye on your disk, create backups and recover partitions that you lost due to various reasons.
