Delete Duplicate Files is a software tool developed in order to help people detect and remove all duplicate files present on their computers.

The interface is quite easy to work with, yet the design used is reminiscent of the classical one present in the Windows 98 and 95 operating systems. Aside from that, it is split into several panels which enable you to easily access different actions.

In order to find out which files from your HDD are duplicates, you first have to select a folder or partition in which to look. Next, you have to choose a type of comparison. There are two main types, one enables you to compare files by name, and another compares items by content.

Original and duplicate files are going to be displayed in the main window in separate panels, along with full name and original directory. The latter items can be deleted to the Recycle Bin, or they can be shredded.

From the settings panel, you can ignore system folders or directories with specific characteristics and attributes, such as zero-length, archives, hidden, read-only and temporary.
