Deletist

Deletist is a small software application whose purpose is to help you delete multiple files and folders with a single click by importing the list with items from a plain text file containing their full paths. It can be deployed on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.

This is a portable program. You can store it on USB flash drives or other portable devices to have it with you all the time. You may run it without administrative privileges.

Gaining access to its features requires only opening the executable file because there’s no setup included in the process. It does not write entries to your Windows registry and leave other configuration files on the target PC. It actually saves the settings data on the storage device.

You are welcomed by a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to set up the dedicated parameters on the breeze. A help manual is included in the package and provides shorts descriptions about the configuration settings. You can make use of preset hotkeys for faster actions.

Deletist offers you the possibility to import the list with files and directories from a user-defined plain text file. The TXT document can be added in the working environment using the built-in browse button or drag-and-drop support.

What’s more, you are allowed to manually select the items that you want to delete, select or deselect all files, invert the selection, as well as remove items from the list.

Entries are highlighted in a different way in the list: grey icons mean a file/folder is present, yellow icons mean items are missing, green icons signal the fact that the file or folder was deleted successfully, while red stands for unsuccessful tasks.

The application lets you delete files and folders from your computer or send them to the Recycle Bin. It reveals information about each item, such as name, status, and path, and shows details about the total number of deleted items and errors.

Tests have shown that Deletist carries out deletion tasks on the breeze and without errors. It is not a resource hog so you do not have to worry that it eats up CPU and memory resources.
