Jar Explorer is a lightweight software solution designed to do exactly what its name suggests: view the contents of any JAR file.
Obviously, since it carries out such a simple job, the interface is pretty basic, with focus exclusively on showing the content of the JAR files you pick and less on eye-candying elements or other menus.
In fact, that's the only feature of Jar Explorer, so in case you wish to extract data from the JAR file, the application doesn't include such an option.
To open a new JAR file it's enough to either drag the file and drop it in the main window or use the built-in “Open File” menu option.
There's no configuration screen, so what you see is what you get, because the only thing to be modified is Jar Explorer's option to remain always on top.
It's obvious that Jar Explorer runs on very low computer resources and works on any Windows workstation as long as it is equipped with the Java Runtime Environment.
Jar Explorer is quite a handy tool if you work with JAR files on a regular basis, but don't expect to see an avalanche of features once you launch the application.
There are many things to be improved about Jar Explorer, including data extraction tools and a more appealing interface, so users may very well keep searching for another similar program.
