Transferring a bunch of photos from your camera isn’t that much of a hassle, but organizing them in a neat collection, or identifying them later on can be. Before triggering the process, you need to fill in the name field for the new files to be fitted with. You might end up scratching your head for a while right after the process starts. This is because you’re not asked for a new place to copy files. They are all copied in the same location, and only fitted with a new name. This affects practicality to some extent, but there’s a function to have original ones removed.

All things considered, we come to the conclusion that Katsu's Excellent File Copy and Rename Tool manages to get the job done in the end, but isn’t that excellent as the name tricks you into believing. This could have easily been achieved by the simple possibility to specify a new copy location, and merge original removal of files with the main operation.
