Lalim File Rename

Lalim File Rename is a lightweight and portable application that enables you to convert the names of files and folders to lowercase or uppercase, or to capitalize each word.

It features a handful of options that can be configured with ease by all types of users, even those less experienced with file management software.

The entire program consists of a single .exe file that can be copied to the hard drive in a custom directory or saved to a removable storage device, in order to seamlessly run Lalim File Rename on any PC without previous setup.

It doesn't need DLLs to run, change your system registry configuration, or create files on the disk without approval. However, it doesn't remember your settings on exit.

When it comes to the interface, the tool adopts a small window with an outdated appearance and built-in folder explorer that you can use to navigate disk directories and locate the files and folders you want to rename.

It's necessary to select the renaming mode between files, folders, or both. Batch processing is supported for files, which means that you can select multiple files from the current directory by holding down the Ctrl or Shift keys and clicking entries, in order to rename all files at once. Alternatively, you can rename all files.

It's possible to opt between lowercase, uppercase and proper case, convert the case of all subfolders from a specified directory, drag folders in a dropbox for easy processing, and make the main window stay on top of other frames.

It carried out tasks swiftly in our tests while remaining light on system resources consumption. Errors popped up when attempting to rename files that were currently in use, which is normal.

However, Lalim File Rename hasn't been updated for a long time, doesn't seem to be in development anymore, and can no longer be purchased.
