ProcessActivityView

ProcessActivityView is a small-sized and portable software utility that gives users the possibility of analyzing currently running processes. It features intuitive options, including an export function to various formats.

As there is no installation involved, you can simply drop the executable file to a custom directory on the hard disk and click it to run.

There is also the alternative of saving ProcessActivityView to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, to be able to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no prior installers.

The tool does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, leaving the disk clean after its removal.

The first step is selecting the process you want to inspect after evaluating its name, ID and full path. Afterward, the main frame gets filled with information pertaining to the file path, extension, open, close, failed and read count, read and write bytes, last handle, and so on. It is also possible to start monitoring another process from the computer, even if it's not currently running.

Selected entries can be easily exported to HTML, XML, CSV or TXT format for closer inspection. Moreover, you can use a search function when dealing with large amounts of data, among other options.

The tool is very light on the system resources, using low CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and works smoothly, without causing Windows to hang, crash or pop up errors. Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, ProcessActivityView should please all types of users.
