When transferring pictures from your phone or camera to your PC, you might want to create an organized album, which can imply changing the name to something that’s easy to identify. By default, the application only targets a couple of movie formats, like AVI, and MKV, and corresponding subtitle files, but you’re free to add more, even if they’re not videos. In fact, the application's renaming technique is only configured to apply better to TV series, but filters can be modified in order to use it with other types as well.

Once files are loaded, the application fills up a two-column table with your files, showing the original name on one side, and new names in the other. There’s the possibility to add more folders, with an option in the loading screen to specify the series name for a more comfortable approach.

In case the default renaming mechanism isn’t quite accurate or according to your liking, there’s the possibility to take matters into your own hands, and manage series, episodes, and images, with value fields to specify season, and episode number, and even work with images for banners, and actors.

All things considered, we come to the conclusion that RenamerX is a neat application you can use to quickly rename your TV series collection in an organized manner, and for easy identification of shows, seasons, and episodes. Although it feels a little rough around the edges, and setting up custom filters can take some time, it’s worth a try in the end.
