With Windows App SDK runtime being released regularly, you may want to remove the older, outdated versions, especially if you are low on space. Unless you have programs that require a specific older version of the framework, there is no reason to keep it.

WinAppSdkCleaner is a lightweight utility that provides a simple way to find and manage all outdated SDK runtimes on your computer.

While the app is not portable, it doesn’t require installation or configuration so you can simply launch and proceed to deleting packages. The interface consists of a single window that lists all the packages of Windows App SDK. It also includes the Remove button as well as search button that can save you time, when you are looking for a particular item.

The developer recommends caution when using the tool, as removing a WinAppSdk version also deletes all the dependent packages, an action that takes place first. Take note that the app is designed to remove packages solely for the current users by default.

If you want a complete removal of all packages for all users, then you need to run the tool elevated. If the later condition is not respected, then there is a chance you end up with orphaned packages that can only be removed after you reinstall the corresponding WinAppSdk version.

Granted, you don’t need a specialized program to safely remove the packages, as it can be done either via commands or directly from the App and Features using the reunion filter. Then again, both methods don’t provide the full picture of the existing packages so you can make an educated decision.
