Drive Health

Drive Health is a simple program that helps you prevent hard disk errors and data loss. It uses S.M.A.R.T. technology, which is compatible with most hard drive manufacturers.

The installation procedure is rapid and uneventful, and does not require special input from the user. Once it is done, you can check out the standard window with the well-organized layout, representing Drive Health's interface.

You can pick a hard drive (if you have multiple ones) and view the raw read error rate, spin up time, start and stop count, seek error rate, power cycle count, and other information.

Details contain the ID number, T.E.C., status, current and worst value, threshold, raw data, meaning, and flags for each attribute. This report can be exported to a plain text document for further analysis.

You can customize the attributes and columns display, ask Drive Health to mark critical attributes, add stripped lines and show disk information, as well as refresh content.

The application is light on the system performance, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and shows accurate information. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. Drive Health serves its purpose.
